In this case full maturity will never be reached, making it preferable to emphasize freshness.

By comparison, a healthy plot (with little risk of disease) whose terroir provides the right amount of water, can enable a wine with a more mature profile to be produced. For the final blend, having a wider aromatic range helps to reveal aromatic complexity.
