The pneumatic membrane press is recognized to be one of the most qualitative horizontal presses.
Breaking up of the marc is achieved by rotation rather than by using a chain. A membrane is inflated with air to exert a given pressure on the marc. This type of press is easily inerted if necessary.
The horizontal press can process large volumes more easily. If the number of breaking-up cycles remains moderate, this system's quality level is similar to that of a vertical press.
