When stored at the nursery, the young vines are generally kept in a cold room. When the winegrower receives the young plants early, it is advisable to avoid exposure to heat and light and to keep them in a cool, damp environment.
Small cold-storage rooms are used at Château Latour for the storage of replacement vines. Rotation in the orders/deliveries from the nurseries ensures that these cold-storage rooms do not become overcrowded and that they remain ergonomic and well managed.
